Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein, named after the astronomers who found it, and being the largest known comet to have been discovered, is coming to the sky near you in 2031.
This comet is between 100 and 200 kilometers across and about 1000 times more massive than other comets in the solar system.
This massive unusual comet from Oort Cloud, the birthplace of icy ancient comets, is making its way towards our Sun for millions of years from the far more distant place in our solar system. If the comit continue to move on this orbit, one day it can collides with Earth.
Exact location and composition of this comet remains unresolved upto now.
For now, a more immediate thrilling experience, sky gazers can see the brightly shining Saturn in the night sky on August 1 and 2.
The Perseid meteor shower, one of the most significant meteor showers for 2021, is coming up.
